La Vie Est Belle Open for First Friday Art Walk

La Vie Est Belle is featuring celebrated designer Wendy Mignot during Seaside’s First Friday Art Walk on Friday, October 4th from 5-8 pm. Come by and support local artists, creativity and enjoy light refreshments.

Celebrate the works of local legend Wendy Mignot along with specialty brands available only at La Vie Est Belle. Make plans to spend your first Friday of each month strolling Central Square and visiting Seaside Merchants from 5-8pm. Participating merchants will host special in-store exhibits and events showcasing their jewelry, art, fashion, music, wine and food. It’s a great way to start the weekend at the beach.

Storyteller Series at East End Gallery

East End Gallery invites all art enthusiasts to experience its new collection of original works from local and regional award winning artists. The Storyteller Series includes personal notes from each artist revealing a look inside the process and inspiration behind the creations and is open Monday through Friday 10 am – 4 pm at the boutique gallery next to Shades Bar & Grill in Inlet Beach.

An Update from Susan Lucas

Susan Lucas was selected to appear in AcrylicWorks 6- Creative Energy: the Best of Acrylic Painting, published by North Light Books. Available in bookstores and online, this is the sixth competition book in the Best of Acrylics series. a recognized competition showcase for acrylic artists. The theme of this year’s book is creative energy, with each selected artist asked to write about this for the book.  The publishers say  “it delivers another bold and breathtaking show of the best in contemporary acrylic painting, selected from an international call for entries. It provides a rousing blend of instruction and inspiration.”

New Works by Lori Drew Enhance New Restaurant in Town

Looking for a new dining experience on the east side of town? Steve Carpenter recently opened Phat Crab in Carillon Beach town center and requested the oil and cold wax art of Lori Drew to complete the laid-back atmosphere of his newest restaurant. “What better way to offer a special treat to the community than to mix local art and fine dining,” said Drew. Twenty-three new works adorn the walls and all are for sale. “I am honored to be a part of this new venture, adding a delightful spark of enthusiasm to a great little town center.”Phat Crab is open from 5-10 p.m. every day except Wednesdays.
