Kay will be teaching at the Blue Giraffe on October 18th and 19th. Both days there will be classes at 9am-12pm and 2-5pm. Each complete class is 3 hrs long, so many opportunities to take “ Ghost Printing: Explorations in Encaustics” with Kay. $250 per class, all materials included.

You will stay with Kay at her beach house in Florida and create art daily with experienced art instructor and artist Aaron Sutton. (BFA, Texas Tech University)
Wake daily to a delicious breakfast and then get ready for an interactive day of creating art like a rockstar with Aaron! (fast, energetic, fun method of painting)
Evenings and dinners will be on your own to explore the coastal towns along 30A.
Kay will prepare a “Farewell Dinner” on the final night of your trip to send you back home with all the art you’ve created during your stay!

Artist of 30A is proud to announce that local mixed media artist, Kay Richoux has accepted the position of President for the Lafayette, La Art Association. Kay maintains a home and studio here in Florida and in Louisiana. She works with acrylic, encaustic and more. Read more about Kay here.
Kay was also one of 16 artists to artistically design a pointe shoe that was auctioned off by the Lafayette Ballet and Theater Company’s reception for “The Nutcracker” along with their Grand Opening Ceremonies. All to raise money for their new building. The grand opening was October 6, 2017. It was an honor to be chosen for “Pointed Works of Art.”
Kay won The CAA’s President’s Choice Award for her piece “Don’t Give A Hoot” in the Exhibit “Take Flight” at the Foster Gallery.
Kay Richoux has 2 pieces in Emerald Coast Theatre pop up Gallery second floor at 560 Grand Boulevard Miramar Beach, FL “Garden By the Sea” and “By the Light of the Silvery Moon”! Pieces are for sale and a portion of the sales go to help benefit the ECTC.
Also Kay will hang her piece “Don’t Give A Hoot” in the Take Flight exhibit put on by the CAA and the Foster Gallery on May 1. It is a stained glass and resin piece in a 150 year old window.
And Kay is leaving to go to an artist’s retreat in Scotland! On May 8 she will arrive and get to create art with 24 artists from around the world until a May 16! She will be painting on this trip as she revisits the filming and historical sites associated with the Outlander series’.
Then in June, July and August her series “Bea You” series will be on exhibit. It features paintings with short stories and poems! You can see these pieces at the South Walton Coastal Branch Library. Pieces are for sale.
