An Update from Artist Surfside Mosaics

Surfside Mosaics are excited to be part of the pop up gallery in Seaside. They are showing ‘Stairway to Heaven ‘ and ‘Shimmering Sails.

Shimmering Sails

Surfside Mosaics is also excited about their new work! They call them “Chunkys” because they are basically 3-D. They used broken vases, wine bottles, decanter stoppers, mugs, and anything else crying for a new life.  Finding a new purpose for something once treasured but broken, Surfside Mosaics gives it new life protecting it with a clear resin.  When the light filters in, it shines!

Surfside Mosaics Studio Open Friday Evening!

2 home studios will be open in Point Washington this Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 for the First Friday 30A Art Walk! Surfside Mosaics and Lori Drew!

**** The word is out Sue will have some of her famous homemade gumbo for guests!

Charles S. and Sue Gray, a.k.a. Surfside Mosaics, are both retired lifelong educators, enjoying their lives as beach bum and bummette.  Recent transplants from Texas, both agreed the 30A and Point Washington area is where their heart is!  Scott, originally from Fort Worth, is truly a renaissance man loving the arts, poetry, music, and painting.  Sue is a card-carrying gumbo connoisseur from Louisiana.  She has to keep busy and while not telling Scott what to do, she is usually sewing, crafting, and breaking glass (it’s her therapy).  According to her, the smaller the pieces, the more therapy was needed!
