Grand Park, 600 Grand Boulevard; Miramar Beach

Dust off your dancing shoes THIS Thursday from 6 – 10 PM in Grand Park at Grand Boulevard Town Center for a night of music, food, spirits, dancing and fun with Yacht Rock Schooner to benefit the Underwater Museum of Art (UMA). Get an exclusive opportunity to meet the 2019 UMA artists and see their sculptures before they are permanently installed into the UMA in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Yacht Rock Schooner throws the smoothest dance party on the high seas, taking guests on a journey to a time when good-times music had heart and musical integrity. The 8-man Schooner specializes in the smooth sounds of the late ’70s and early ’80s. It’s a party that spans generations, and the band is comprised of some of Atlanta’s top players with a dual keyboard setup, multiple ace vocalists and (of course) a sax man.

Door open at 6PM for guests to enjoy complimentary light bites and a cash bar.

Many of the 12 sculpture designs selected by jury for permanent exhibition in the second installation of the UMA will be on display at the fundraiser and throughout the weekend during the ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival before they are transferred to Orange Beach, AL to prepare for their deployment into the Gulf in a one-acre permit patch of seabed off Grayton Beach State Park.

In addition to the art, music, food, and fun…we will host a silent auction including bid lots for seats aboard a luxury Galati Yacht to witness the summer 2019 deployment, original art work from Justin Gaffrey, an excursion with 30A Snorkel, hand-crafted jewelry from The Salty Sparrow, and more! Can’t attend and still want to bid? Or want to get registered early? No problem! Text “underthesea” to 243725 to receive your registration link to create your account so you can begin viewing and bidding on items.
