MAY 6: THE ART OF DIGITAL GRAFFITI
Join us THIS Thursday, May 6th at Noon for “The Art of Digital Graffiti.” This virtual event is part of Art on Demand, a creative connection series brought to you by the CAA in partnership with Alys Beach, 30A.com and Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs.

Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach is a one-of-a-kind projection art festival where artists from across the globe use the latest digital technologies to project their original works onto the iconic white walls of Alys Beach. In 2021, the festival celebrates it’s 14th year.
In this episode, we go behind the scenes to learn more about the origins of this highly anticipated event and what it takes to create this unique experience through a discussion with Alys Beach Event Director Alexis Miller, founder of 30A.com and creator of Digital Graffiti Mike Ragsdale, Brett Phares Digital Graffiti Curator and local artist 2021 Digital Graffiti finalist Jonah Allen.

Digital Graffiti at Alys Beach, which is a part of Art Month South Walton, is a festival geared towards bringing these artists together in one place to celebrate and showcase their unique talents. Each year, the festival attracts digital artists, filmmakers, musicians, interactive designers, photographers, VJs, producers, celebrities, agency executives and fans of art, technology and architecture.

This year’s event is a reimagined Digital Graffiti 2021, which will be an immersive, drive-thru experience as event producers continue to follow the CDC’s social safety guidelines. To secure tickets, visit DigitalGraffiti.com.

Each ticket will be issued with a designated time slot. Time slots will start at 8PM, will be limited to 20 cars per time slot, and will be blocked in 20-minute intervals. Tickets must be pre-purchased and will not be sold onsite. Ticket time slots and limited availability will be enforced in order to safely control the flow of traffic. Vehicles must not exceed a height of 9-feet. For optimal viewing, vehicles without dark window tinting and with windows that can be opened are recommended. In the interest of safety, pedestrians, golf carts and other modes of open-air and/or non-vehicular traffic will not be permitted.

*The public festival dates are May 12-15, 2021, with the May 15 event reserved for Alys Beach homeowners and our Digital Graffiti sponsors.

This Art on Demand episode will be viewable on 30A.com’s Facebook page as well as on the CAA website and YouTube channel following the broadcast. To learn more about the CAA events and programming, visit CulturalArtsAlliance.com.
