In mid-October, longtime South Walton artist Joan Vienot will be moving to Maine to follow her dream of painting the rocky shore. She will make her home in Trenton, Maine, which is about 30 minutes from Bar Harbor, and she will be painting scenes of Acadia National Park and Deer Isle. She hopes to move to various new scenic locations in the U.S. over the next decade or two, painting whatever calls to her. “The Gulf beaches, the coastal dune lakes, and the inland springs of the Emerald Coast have provided me with wonderful inspiration, and I will miss everyone! I will be watching for your photos on social media,” Joan says. “Look me up, if you come this direction!” Follow Joan’s adventures by subscribing to her occasional newsletter here.
