The Biophilia Art Festival: Notes on Nature will be on Saturday, January 17th, January 24th and January 31st at the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center. These events include a Kids Craft Day on the 17th and Sips and Scenes, an adult only painting activity on the 31st. This festival is a celebration of art and nature, with the main event on the 24th being a photography contest with a showcase of local vendors. Open call for artists in the community to collaborate by selling their work as exhibitors and vendors. Anyone available to donate time or artwork as part of the fundraiser is a treasured addition to the celebration. All artists participating in the event are welcome to arrive early to the Biophilia Center (must RSVP) for a private tour of the exhibit hall and ambassador animals as well as their brand added to festival marketing. We are in search of painters and studios willing to lead an amateur class for the public. Photography classes and equipment, are especially appreciated as prizes for the contest.
